Getting Started

Requirements

What you need to run Text To Anim.

Text To Anim generates skeletal animations for Unreal Engine 5 from a text prompt, entirely on your own machine: after a one-time model download there are no online services, accounts or API keys. The motion model is NVIDIA Kimodo. Built with Meta Llama 3.

EngineUnreal Engine 5.6, 5.7 or 5.8
OSWindows 10/11, 64-bit
GPUNVIDIA, RTX 20 series or newer, recent driver (RTX 50: driver with CUDA 12.8+)
Disk~9.3 GB for the models (downloaded once, shared by all projects) + ~1 GB for the plugin
RAM16 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended with the default memory mode
InternetOnly for the one-time model download
Engine pluginsIK Rig (part of Unreal Engine): enabled automatically with Text To Anim, used for retargeting
The plugin is editor-only: it creates regular AnimSequence assets, nothing of it ships in your game.
An NVIDIA GPU and driver are required, also to use the CPU only memory mode. AMD and Intel GPUs, macOS and Linux are not supported in this version.
